Canada is a vast country, home to stunning landscapes and diverse cultures. As a European, I experienced this diversity as I transported goods across the country.
The trip was 4,787 kilometers by truck and took more than a week. I started near Montreal, from our location near the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Dorval.
Along the way, I passed through cities like Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Calgary.
Ottawa:
Ottawa is the capital of Canada and a beautiful city that is home to many historical and cultural attractions. However, the road avoids the city, so I didn't see much of it.
Winnipeg:
Winnipeg is the capital of the province of Manitoba and a large city located on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. The city has a rich history and culture and is home to many museums and galleries.
Calgary:
Calgary is the capital of the province of Alberta and is a modern city nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The city is famous for the Calgary Stampede, an annual rodeo and country music festival.
The Rocky Mountains:
The Rocky Mountains are located in western Canada and are home to stunning landscapes and wildlife. Along the way, I passed through the Fraser Canyon and the Rocky Mountains National Park. I saw bear, elk, and mountain goat.
Vancouver:
Vancouver is a bustling city nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains. The city offers a vibrant urban environment combined with stunning natural beauty. I delivered the cargo at the port, I believe, all the way down the Pacific coast.
This trip was an unforgettable experience for me. I have experienced that Canada is a wonderful country full of stunning scenery, rich history, and culture.
